THE BUSINESS GROUP FORMED BY ESTEYCO, UNSTUDIO AND B720 ARQUITECTURA COMPETE WITH 8 OTHER BUSINESS GROUPS OF INTERNATIONAL RELEVANCE FOR THE REMODELING AND EXPANSION OF THE MADRID CHAMARTÍN-CLARA CAMPOAMOR STATION.
The 9 groups that continue, of the 10 that classified for the second phase of the contest, presented yesterday their anonymous proposals to be evaluated by the jury, from which a response is expected before the end of the year. The winning team will have to face an urban transformation that will remodel and expand the Chamartín Station with an estimated global investment of 1,000 million euros and that will guarantee the maintenance of the railway service during the execution of the works.
The station is destined to become an international benchmark for sustainable and intelligent mobility and will become the center of activity of the new urban development of Madrid Nuevo Norte. It will become a hub for intermodal transport and will solve the accessibility that the railway gap causes in the environment, generating an economically and environmentally sustainable station
