INSTITUTIONAL VISIT OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY TO THE GAINTXURIZKETA TUNNEL. WORKS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STANDARD GAUGE ON THE RAILWAY SECTION BETWEEN ASTIGARRAGA AND IRUN
El viernes 14 de febrero de 2025 tuvo lugar la visita del ministro de transportes y movilidad sostenible, D. Óscar Puente, al túnel de Gaintxurizketa, acompañado durante el recorrido por el secretario de estado D. Jose Antonio Santano y el presidente de ADIF, D. Pedro Marco.
Durante la visita han podido comprobar el estado de avance de los trabajos de ampliación de sección del túnel de Gaintxurizketa, los cuales se centran en la ejecución de la impermeabilización y revestimiento del túnel.
At the same time, the authorities were informed about the forecasted start of other project actions, such as the works on the false tunnels at the entrance and exit of the tunnel, and especially the upcoming start of the section expansion works of the Loiola tunnel.
These actions are included in the EXECUTION WORKS OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STANDARD GAUGE ON THE SECTION BETWEEN ASTIGARRAGA AND IRÚN. INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRACK, in which ESTEYCO carries out the assistance and control of the works.
