COMMISSIONING OF ESTEYCO-WEG CONCRETE TOWER

On March 01st 2018, in Cacimbas Wind Farm (Brazil), the wind turbine (of 2,1MW) was commissioned. This wind turbine is based on the concrete tower designed by Esteyco for WEG. Previously, on February 27th, the speed test had been carried out.
The tower consist in 5 tower sections made of a total of 17 concrete segments and a steel top adaptor, summing up to 120m at hub height.
As of today, two other towers are up and running, and it is expected 7 more towers to be operative at the end of March 2018, corresponding to the Cacimbas 3 wind farm.
This collaboration between companies is focused on the construction of two wind complexes with a total capacity power of 399MW:
On one side, Cutía and Bento Miguel Eolic Complex, which consists in 13 wind farms with 149 towers, located in the state of Rio Grande Do Norte.
And on the other, Bons Ventos Da Serra 2 Eolic Complex, which consists in 5 wind farms with 41 towers, in the state of Ceará.
