ESTEYCO ADVANCES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENERGY STORAGE TECHNOLOGY
The CDTI selects the ALTERA project, led by Esteyco, as one of the successful projects among those of the Science and Innovation Missions program co-financed by CDTI with European FEDER funds.
The ALTERA project focuses on developing an electric battery in which energy storage is carried out through the use of molten silicon and energy recovery is carried out through thermophotovoltaic cells.
The Esteyco Mechanics department, together with the other companies in the consortium, develop this technology with the aim of mitigating the intermittency inherent in renewable energy sources today.
