The EVOATOMS project has received funding from the Eurostars‑3 Programme, within the framework of the Transfer and Collaboration Programme and the Internationalisation Programme of the Spanish State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2024–2027, with co‑funding from the CDTI and the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Framework Programme.

The project aims to adapt and optimise ATOMS, the innovative solution designed for corrective maintenance, particularly major corrective operations, of offshore wind turbines, to meet the needs of next‑generation turbines exceeding 12 MW. This will be achieved through the final design of a larger, more versatile and robust platform, as well as upgrades to the integrated crane. These improvements will enhance ATOMS’ ability to operate across different substructure types and varying environmental conditions, enabling deployment in a wider range of sites and markets.

EVOATOMS also contributes to the sector’s environmental goals, as the use of the ATOMS platform avoids reliance on large Jack‑up vessels, thereby reducing operational costs, time at sea and the environmental impact associated with these operations.

The project will be carried out by an International Consortium composed of ESTEYCO, Liftra and Leap Solutions ApS, combining expertise in engineering, lifting, installation and technological solutions for offshore wind.
