On May 16th, as part of the celebration of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, the Col·legi d’Enginyers de Camins, Canals i Ports de Catalunya awarded the “Engineering and Progress” prize to the Marine Energy R&D Platform of Catalonia (PLEMCAT), a pioneering infrastructure to promote the initial steps for the development of floating offshore wind energy in the Gulf of Roses.

We are very proud that Esteyco is part of this project as one of the companies selected for the installation of the first prototypes, together with Sener and X1 Wind, under the leadership and collaboration of the Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya (IREC) and the Direcció General d’Energia de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

This recognition highlights technological innovation, the leadership of civil engineers, and the country’s commitment to renewable energies, emphasizing the Generalitat de Catalunya’s willingness to promote offshore wind energy in a gradual, responsible, and respectful manner with the territory.
