Sebastián Guerrero, Director of Studies and Projects from ESTEYCO, participated last June 13th in the “Roads 2 + 1, debate on a solution with a future”, organized by the Technical Association of Roads, which took place in the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The aim of the conference, was to analyze in detail the experiences carried out in the implementation of the 2 + 1 configuration for the improvement of road safety and to advance in the design aspects which still require development. Roads 2 + 1 are based on conventional roads with the addition of fast lanes, being also able to establish a physical separation on the directions of traffic.

Xavier Flores, General Manager of Mobility Infrastructures of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Ferran Camps, General Deputy Director of Road Explotation, Luis Bonet, Head of the State Road Demarcation in Catalonia of the Ministry of Development, Rafael López Guarga, Head of the State Roads Demarcation of Aragon, and Pedro Berruezo, General Deputy Director of Planning, Projects and Road Construction of the Community of Madrid, attended the event.
