ESTEYCO PARTICIPATES IN THE “SUBSTRUCTURES FOR UK OFFSHORE WIND” CONFERENCE IN LONDON
On February 28th, ESTEYCO participated in the International Conference “Substructures for UK Offshore Wind” held in London, organized by the International Quality & Productivity Centre (IQPC).
During the event, we have made a presentation of our ELISA/ELICAN projects, which outcome will be a full-scale Offshore wind turbine which integrates a self-installing concrete telescopic tower, entirely built in harbour, and self-floating during transport to its final position. The tower is currently being built in the Canaries (Spain) and is expected to be in operation, with a Siemens-Gamesa 5 MW WTG on top, by the end of Q2 in PLOCAN area.
Throughout the congress, the interest in the project by the participants has been confirmed; the technology fits perfectly with the messages that predominated in the event: reducing costs (LCOE), minimizing risks and maximizing the local industry within the United Kingdom, thus improving the supply chain. Our ELISA technology meets those requirements.
We do appreciate that participating in this kind of events is a necessary step to show our work, with the objective of contributing to the commercialisation of our technology in the near future.
