ESTEYCO has been awarded the consultancy services and assistance for the implementation of the standard track gauge in the section of the conventional network, Taboadela-Ourense for the total amount of 651,364€.

This section, of approximately 13 km of the current conventional network (Line 822 Zamora-A Coruña) between the stations of Taboadela and Orense, allows the arrival of the High-Speed Line to Orense and gives continuity to other sections included in the Madrid-Galicia High Speed Line.

The implementation of the standard track gauge in the section Taboadela-Ourense is included in the five consultancy and assistance contracts that Adif Alta Velocidad has awarded for the Pedralba de la Pradería-Ourense section of the Madrd-Galicia High-Speed Line for total amount of 4.027.389€.
These contracts will give assistance in the rail assembly between Pedralba de la Pradería- Campobecerros and Taboadela, the execution of the acoustic protections in the section: Pedralba-Taboadela and the implementation of standard track gauge in the section Taboadela-Ourense. It also contemplates, the installation of an overhead contact line and associated systems between Pedralba and Ourense and the construction of the Taboadela gauge changer, rail assembly branch in the connection between the conventional line and the HSL and the remodeling of Taboadela station.
