TIM STRUCTURES MOVED TO CONNECT TO THE ELISA/ELICAN PROTOTYPE

The TIM system, consisting of metallic structures and floaters, was shipped from Punta Langosteira (A Coruña) last April 7. Funded by CDTI, TIM system is a key piece for the installation of the Offshore prototype Mario Luis Romero Torrent, which is the result of the ELISA and ELICAN projects both funded by the European H2020 programme. Both the offshore tower technology and the TIM platform are solutions patented by Esteyco that aims to reduce the installation costs of marine wind towers.

Its arrival to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Port was on April 10 where the unloading of nine structures and a container, with a total weight of 400 tons, was performed. Manufacturing of TIM platform was ordered to Horta Coslada, which took advantage of their facilities near Punta Langosteira Port.
