DUMAT AL JANDAL: THE LARGEST WIND FARM IN SAUDI ARABIA
ESTEYCO has carried out the geotechnical survey and the detailed engineering of civil works and braced foundations in Dumat al Jandal WF, being the first large scale wind farm in Saudi Arabia, which is included within the “NATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM (NREP), VISION 2030”, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and initiating an energy transition, with less dependence on oil.
Currently, ESTEYCO is carrying out the technical assistance during the civil works and braced foundations construction.
Dumat Al Jandal WF will be composed by 99 WTG Vestas V150 HH124 m (+6m) with a total capacity above 400 MW.
The foundation technology chosen for Dumat Al Jandal Wind WF has been the braced foundation created and patented by ESTEYCO HH+6m. This solution, designed and patented by ESTEYCO, enables to increase the hub height 6m without changes neither in the standard tower or turbine, thus improving the annual energy production AEP. The access door to the tower is located at the central ring, avoiding external stairs.
