GREEN LIGHT TO LA ALDEA SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PROJECT (GRAN CANARIA)
The Investment and Strategic Projects Committee of the Canary Islands has decided to present to the Governing Board of Canarias the project developed by Mur Group to build a sustainable active tourism resort in La Aldea de San Nicolás, Gran Canaria.
Esteyco has developed the urban planning proposal approved by the Committee. It is based on such criteria as energy self-sufficiency through renewable sources, its integration in the volcanic landscape and the promotion of high-quality tourism in order to add value to agricultural activity of the area by means of promoting eco-friendly sports activities.
The so-called project “Valle La Aldea” has an estimated investment of 150 million of euros and it is located in an area of 170 hectares. This project is aimed at becoming a landmark in the tourism industry of the Canary Islands and the driven force of the tourism expansion in the village.
