Last Tuesday, September 30, the award ceremony for the prestigious New European Bauhaus Prizes 2025 was held in Brussels, recognizing exemplary initiatives in sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion within the European urban environment.

The model public space project for Barcelona’s new green axes was selected as a finalist in the first phase and declared the winner in this edition of the awards.

Esteyco, in a joint venture with Martí Franch Studio,
Nabla Studio, and Cáceres S.C.P
, drafted the preliminary and executive projects for the Eix Girona, and also provided technical author assistance during the construction phase.

This recognition highlights the value of sustainable urban transformation and the recovery of public space for citizens, aligning with the principles of the New European Bauhaus: beauty, sustainability, and social cohesion.
