Last April 26TH, the Director of Studies at Esteyco, Sebasti\u00e1n Guerrero took part in the Technical Conference \u201cRoads 2+1: Debate of a solution with future\u201d, at the CEDEX headquarters in Madrid, organized by the Road Technical Association.
\nSebasti\u00e1n Guerrero explained the experiences of Esteyco in the construction projects of 2+1 roads, a kind of road which consists in the establishment of additional overtaking lanes based on a conventional road, with the possibility of implementing physical separation elements between the traffic directions.
\nThis solution is very adequate for road sections with traffic intensity between 7.000 and 25.000 vehicles per day, as it allows to significantly improve the performance of the road without necessarily having to undertake the conversion to a highway.
\nAlong the day, technical characteristics of the layout and road safety of the 2+1 roads were discussed, national and international experts participate actively, as well as representatives of Administrations interested in this new solution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
