The project was led by <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"186\">ESTEYCO<\/b>, which managed both the design development and construction oversight, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to the established schedule and quality standards.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The expansion has tripled the terminal\u2019s surface area to <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"57\">42,000 m\u00b2<\/b>, added two new 550-metre railway tracks, and created an enlarged platform area to strengthen rail operations and the container depot. These improvements significantly boost logistics capacity and enhance rail connectivity across northern Spain.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">The total investment amounted to approximately <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"47\">\u20ac10 million<\/b>, partially financed through <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"87\">NextGenerationEU<\/b> funds. The terminal is operated by <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"139\">Hutchison Ports BEST<\/b>, which was awarded the concession in 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">This project is a key component of the Ministry of Transport\u2019s <b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"63\">\u201cMercanc\u00edas 30\u201d Plan<\/b>, designed to increase the market share of rail freight in Spain.
