On December 2nd, ESTEYCO proudly marked a defining moment in the journey of offshore wind innovation: the official presentation and naming ceremony of ATOMS ANA, the first full-scale ATOMS platform, hosted at the Port of Ferrol.<\/p>\n
The event brought together key voices from across the European offshore wind landscape\u2014industry leaders, institutions, and partners who share a common vision for a more resilient, efficient, and competitive sector. Attendees witnessed firsthand the results of months of outfitting, the successful launch, and the recent sea trials of the semi-submersible platform, now ready for its next phase of development. <\/p>\n
Originally conceived by ESTEYCO, the ATOMS technology has since evolved through a powerful collaboration with Liftra, culminating in the joint venture SOLVE WIND. Together, we presented not only a platform, but a new way of understanding offshore O&M\u2014one that tackles the sector\u2019s most pressing challenges by reducing dependence on heavy-lift vessels and avoiding tow-to-port operations for floating wind. <\/p>\n
The ceremony also highlighted the shared ambition that has driven this project from the very beginning. From the first concept sketches to the moment ATOMS ANA touched the water, this milestone is the result of remarkable dedication and teamwork across ESTEYCO, Liftra, and SOLVE WIND. <\/p>\n
