DE LA MAR BELLA PROMENADE. BARCELONA <\/b><\/h1><\/div>ESTEYCO, in joint venture with Estudi Mart\u00ed Franch, has concluded the first phase of the redevelopment and naturalization project of the last section of the Barcelona city waterfront pending to be transform. The final project, with a surface of a 108 Ha will complete the beachfront between Parc del poblenou and the Parc del F\u00f2rum, and will make effective the humanized connection of the entire seafront of the city between Barceloneta and Sant Adri\u00e1. <\/span><\/p>\nThe proposal establishes new relationships with the sea, new spatial imaginaries that add value to those already present and typical of the urban coastline, incorporating for this purpose the knowledge acquired in more than 30 years of experience in urban transformation and innovation projects.<\/span><\/p>\nThe main objective of the project has been to achieve a coherent technical proposal that integrates the three pillars of the strategy for the Mar de la Bella promenade: the naturalization of the field generating a multifunctional green infrastructure and solutions adapted to climate change (thermal comfort), the improvement of longitudinal and transversal connectivity by formalizing the new access \u201cgates\u201d, the pedestrian promenade and the bike path along the coastline and the recovery if integrated citizen uses within this new landscape.<\/span><\/p>\nKey are the relationships between the promenade and the beaches to implement solutions that will allow the adaptation of the new urban space to the effects of climate change. A significant increase in the biomass and biodiversity is proposed (planting more than 1000 trees of various species and large areas of shrubs), the management of water consumption through the incorporation of permeable pavements and sustainable drainage systems (SUDS), minimizing the emissions by incorporating strategies for the use and reuse of materials from the construction site itself, and incorporating energy self-sufficiency strategies, with the implementation of solar collection by two photovoltaic pergolas. <\/span><\/p>\nThe project of this first phase between Bac de Rosa and Josep Pla covers and area of about 43 Ha and has an estimated budget of 21 million euros.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
