REMODELING OF MADRID – CHAMART\u00cdN STATION<\/strong><\/h1><\/div>Esteyco, along with the architectural firms UNStudio and b720, will develop the Chamart\u00edn station remodeling project for Adif AV. The contract with a total duration of 72 months, will include the preparation of conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design projects with an overall investment of 1,000 million euros. <\/span><\/p>\nThe remodeling of Chamart\u00edn railway station arises from a double need: to allow, together with the remodeling of Atocha station and through the Atocha-Chamart\u00edn tunnel, to connect the north and northwest of the peninsula with the rest of the high-speed network, creating a single Railway System in which Atocha-Chamart\u00edn will become its main node; and to transform the station into an intermodal and service center that will be an international reference and, fully integrated into the city, will become the heart of the development of Madrid Nuevo Norte.<\/span><\/p>\nThe project will be complemented by the plazas north and south of the station, which will serve as a connection to the urban parks that will be generated over the railway tracks and will become a meeting point and a hub of activity themselves.
