\u00a9ELISA technology uses a gravity foundation (GBS) for marine wind power, configured to act as a floating platform to enable the substructure and wind turbine (WTG) to be installed together. Each complete unit \u2014 the GBS and the WTG \u2014 is fully assembled on land and then towed conventionally to the final site, where it is installed using low-cost means (tugboats). The \u00a9TIM platform is used to assure a high degree of stability throughout the towing and ballasting process. It can be coupled firmly to the concrete GBS shaft to hold them together while afloat. <\/span><\/p>\n If a vessel with a <\/span>Jack-up <\/span><\/i>platform is available at a competitive price, ELI technology is a competitive alternative. The ELI concept maintains the gravity foundation designed to act as a floating platform and the first section of the tower at the access-platform level. It is also installed with a small-scale \u00a9TIM in order to optimise the use of materials for the foundation.
