STUDENTS VISIT THE ELISA- ELICAN PROTOTYPE

Last 22nd June 2017, 16 students of the course Design of Naval and Oceanic Industry (Offshore), given by the Canarian Job Centre, visited our premises located in the port of Arinaga where Esteyco SAP is building a concrete foundation and telescopic tower for an offshore marine wind turbine.
During the visit, which took the whole morning and was conducted by Ricardo Gil, site works manager of the ELISA/ELICAN project, funded by the H2020 program, students had the opportunity to get to know first-hand the technical features of the structure as well as its operational process in the sea. Then, they had a tour around the premises and visited the prototype itself.
This visit was fruitful for both sides and confirms the interest of the wind sector, both locally and nationally, in this remarkable and pioneer project which it is expected to be in operation in Q1 2018.
