Ports and logistics

Movements of assets, accessibility of major logistics centres and the need to transform goods transport towards a fair, zero-emissions energy transition are forcing the current mobility models at ports and major load-exchange centres to be reviewed. Although railways and shipping will have a dominant role in this model, roads will continue to play a key role in balancing the system. Leveraging and adapting existing corridors or creating new ones where infrastructure drives growth is of capital importance for sustainable development .
