ESTEYCO TAKES ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS THE CONSOLIDATION OF FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND

Esteyco has received funding from the COMMUNITY OF MADRID – VICE PRESIDENCY, MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITIES to carry out the DEOMAR project (Development and demonstration of advanced systems for Marine Wind) through the Grants for promoting public-private cooperation improvement in I+D+i through consortium tractor projects, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the FEDER operational program of the European Commission.

With a budget of 4.728.532€ and a duration of 3 years, the DEOMAR project focuses on the research, development, prototyping, and experimental demonstration of new solutions for innovative subsystems, novel means, and newly conceived processes aimed at the industrial applicability of new technologies for renewable energy generation, particularly floating offshore wind.

To carry out these activities, a consortium has been formed, bringing together experts in various areas covered by the project, including Rover Maritime, Inbersa Estructuras Metálicas, BTP Infraestructuras, and Silbat Energy Storage Solutions. Additionally, the consortium will have the invaluable collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) through the Agustín de Betancourt Foundation (FAB), where various tests will be conducted to prove the technical feasibility of these innovative systems.
