National and international experts in the field of road tunnel safety met from the 25th to 28th October. The world road Association (PIARC) and the technical road Association (ATC) organized the 2nd International Conference on the Operation and Safety of Road Tunnels and the VIII National Tunnel Symposium.

Among the speakers was Carlos García Acón, Esteyco CEO, presenting the project for the transformation of the new tunnel in Madrid. Other participants included Andreu Estany, director of architecture at Esteyco, who gave a presentation on the design of urban tunnels, and Iván Perea, head of civil works at Esteyco, who presented the risk analysis of the tunnels in Plaza de las Glorias in Barcelona.
