CHAMARTÍN STATION RECOGNISED AS JURY WINNER AT THE 2026 ARCHITIZER A+AWARDS
The Chamartín Station project, developed for Adif & CreaMNN by the Chamartin Ecosistema Abierto joint venture (JV) formed by ESTEYCO, UNS, and b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos, has been named Jury Winner in the Unbuilt Transportation category at the 2026 Architizer A+Awards, one of the world’s leading architecture award programs.
Selected by an international jury of architects, designers, media professionals, technology experts, and business leaders, the project was praised for its architectural vision, innovation, and contribution to the future of transportation infrastructure.
The Architizer A+Awards celebrate excellence in architecture worldwide. The 2026 edition attracted entries from more than 80 countries, highlighting the international significance of this accolade.

The transformation of Chamartín Station sets a new benchmark for integrated mobility, creating a contemporary transport hub designed to address future transportation challenges while enhancing the passenger experience, urban connectivity, and operational efficiency. The proposal seamlessly combines architectural ambition, engineering excellence, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Bringing together specialized expertise in engineering, architecture, urban design, and transportation infrastructure, the joint team of ESTEYCO, UNS, and b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos delivered a transformative vision for one of Spain’s most critical mobility hubs.
