Last October 18th of 2016, Javier Rui-Wamba Martija was awarded unanimously the National Prize of Civil Engineering by the current Minister Rafael Catalá.

The prize has been given in recognition of a long and brilliant career and his ability to combine numerous different aspects of the engineering profession. In this regard, the Minister has, in addition to his career, highlighted “his talent and commitment towards society” and has publicly recognized the contribution of Spanish engineers in the modernization and development of our country.
